Myth of Ntamouxari
Damouchari is a village which hides a story that starts in the early twentieth century.
Most residents come from a man in Vainopoulou Apostle, who was the only resident of Damouchari. He commanded a company imports and export products.
Apostle Vainopoulos traveled much, transferring products throughout the Eastern Pelion and in European countries.
One day in Bucharest met him love. Her name was Cleopatra, was rich and beautiful and Vainopoulos wanted to marry her and bring her back to Damouchari in order to live there happily.
Cleopatra was called affectionately Miramare, settled in Damouchari. Vainopoulos built a mansion to host their love.
The years go and Miramare started to have depression and stayed away from his family and her beloved. She was pregnant and after some complications she died and leaves his only child.
The child was a boy who lived happily. When he was 10 years, challenged with a disease and died as well.
Apostle Vainopoulos was inconsolable, Miramare and his son are gone. The only one who left to him was Victoria, the nanny. Apostle fell in love with nanny and eventually acquired five children, Electra, Cleopatra, Nicias, Jason and Clearchus.
This was a famous local story about Ntamouxari.
Ntamouxari Beach
The small beach of Damouchari is located in the homonymous settlement.
Access is easy and you can reach it either from Mouresi or Agios Ioannis, or even by foot from the famous cobbled path that starts from Tsagarada.
The beach because has rocks, this is the reason which make it an ideal destination for diving.
