The “thousand-year” platanus
In Tsagarada there is the famous “thousand-year-old” plane tree, which is located in the square of Agia Paraskevi. The plane tree’s trunk is 14 meters in diameter, while the opening of its branches cannot be determined precisely, but it covers almost the entire square making a huge umbrella that creates shade.
In the past, the church bells were supported on one of its branches, but due to the weight they could not withstand and now they are supported on a marble pillar. Drink your coffee and eat a baked sweet under the plane tree in the square’s traditional cafe.
Climate
Pelion has the following advantage. At the feet of the mountain, near the sea, you will feel what summer means, but as you climb the mountain you will notice a cool breeze blowing on your face.
Up on the mountain, you will never feel the heat and scorching climate of summer, nor will you wake up in the middle of the night with sweat. Instead, you will also need to cover yourself with an extra sheet.
Summer concerts
Dionysis Savvopoulos and Nikos Portokaloglou are some of the artists who have a home in Pelion, as a result of which they often hold concerts in the summer during holidays in Pelion 2022. Even if you don’t want to go to the concert, if you sit on your balcony, you can listen to the music.

The beach in Puri is not distinguished so much for its beauty, but in the middle of the Zagora-Puri road, before the entrance to Puri, there is the “Plymari” fish tavern, which you must visit.
The owners catch the fish they cook themselves, so the dishes of the day depending on the catch. The food is homemade and the bread they offer is leavened and baked daily.

At the foot of Pelion, in Ano Gatzea, you will find the Olive and Olive Museum. There you will have the opportunity to see tools and objects related to the sorting and processing of olives and oil.
Turquoise waters

The village of Trikeri is also known as the village of the three seas, since it is bordered by the Pagasitikos to the north, the N. Euboikos to the south and the Aegean to the east. It is a village, built on a hill, overlooking the sea and with a strong island character and maritime tradition.
The Trikeriotes were great fishermen, shipwrights, and traders. It is worth visiting the church of the Holy Trinity, which also houses Napoleon’s throne, which the captains bought in Barcelona.
Skala for holidays in Pelion 2022
The mountain is quiet and has no intense nightlife. Ai Giannis is usually full of people in the evening, although it is not one of the most picturesque spots of Pelion.
There is, however, one bar that stands out and is located in Tsagarada. It is called “Skala” and it is a courtyard that operates in winter and summer. You get a good night, when the owner is in a good mood (and this often happens) you will all end up becoming a group and “ordering” your favorite songs.
